Summer is always complicated, with the older two splitting time between households, everyone wanting something different, and the fifteen-year-old firm in their opinions about what summer should look like. We want to do something meaningful as a family this year, possibly a road trip, camping, or even flying somewhere, though we're weighing the uncertainty around gas prices and flight cancellations. There's also a cabin through my partner's family that we've been invited to use. I know we can't do everything, but I'm not sure how to plan a summer we can afford without everyone feeling shortchanged. ~Kim Read More
